Frequently Asked Questions
-
A miscarriage doula is a trained support person who provides emotional support, education, resources, and advocacy throughout the experience of pregnancy loss. We support individuals navigating miscarriage, recurrent pregnancy loss, and the complicated emotions that can accompany grief and pregnancy after loss. Our role is to help you feel heard, informed, and supported without judgment or expectations about how you should feel or what your journey should look like.
-
Our services are for anyone seeking support through pregnancy loss and its many surrounding experiences. Whether you've experienced a recent loss, multiple losses, a difficult medical experience, or are navigating the anxiety and uncertainty of pregnancy after loss, you are welcome here. You don't have to be in a particular stage of grief or know exactly what kind of support you need to reach out.
-
Individual doula support offers one-on-one time tailored to your personal experiences, questions, and needs. A support group provides an opportunity to connect with others who understand pregnancy loss in an intimate, facilitated setting. Both offer space to share, process, and feel supported. The best fit depends on whether you prefer personalized one-on-one care, community connection, or a combination of both.

-
Yes! Our individual doula sessions and support groups are offered virtually, allowing you to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own space. Virtual support can make it easier to connect with others who understand, even when in-person resources are limited or difficult to access. Details about scheduling and joining your sessions will be provided when you book.
-
No. A miscarriage doula provides emotional support, education, resources, and help preparing questions or advocating for your needs. We do not replace your medical provider, diagnose or treat medical conditions, or provide psychotherapy unless separately licensed and acting within that professional role. We believe supportive care can complement medical and mental health services, and we encourage you to seek the appropriate professional care for your individual needs.
